Prayer for Emotional Healing
God, You know my past. You've seen the hurts and wounds that I've suffered. I need Your help. I've done everything I know how and I simply cannot get over the wounds. I'm stuck. I need You to heal me at a deeper level than I've been able to go before. I need to forgive those who wounded, but I don't have the power to do that on my own. Help me let go! Set me free from the torment of reliving those hurtful things. Help me to walk away from the bondage of believing that I am no more than what others have said of me. I am the person that You made and that You cherish. I want to live in the joy of who You made me to be and not in the prison in which others have tried to put me. I want to live again. I want to breathe deeply. I'm asking You to wash over me and remove all of the junk. Make me whole again! Bring me rivers of refreshment. Raise my head out of the gutter and let me look upon life with fresh eyes. Let me see with Your eyes. Let me see myself through Your eyes. Help me understand the person You created me to be. Allow me to get past the boxes I've put myself in before. I want to move beyond depending upon others to define who I am. I want to discover who You made me to be. I want to explore that wonderful plans that You have in store for me. Break me free into a new understanding of the meaning and purpose of life. I want more out of life. I need more than I've found on my own. I need You to take me by the hand and lead me onto the path of abundant life. I give You permission to bring me into a place of living life as a whole person. I pray that over the next week that You bring new people into my life to show me how to find real life. I give You permission to do miracles in my life. Bring new waters of fresh healing each day and allow me to run into open fields of life with You. I want You to so move in my life that it changes everything about me. Fill me with so much life that it spills out onto everyone around me. I thank You and praise You for loving me and caring so much about me. Bless You for what You are about to do in my life.
