The 4 Stages of Our Spiritual Journey

   
Where are you on your spiritual journey? Are you where you think you should be? Have setbacks and snags slowed your progress? Do you want to overcome your current constraints and break free into the next level of spiritual maturity?

The vast majority of people are stuck in one of 3 stages. We don’t realize where or how we got stuck. Even more importantly, we have no idea how to get back on track toward experiencing more meaningful life. If that describes you, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’m going to walk you through a process of discovering in which of 4 stages you are at in your spiritual journey. Then, I’ll help you identify how to get unstuck from your current stage and advance into the next level of spiritual maturity.

First, I want to define what I’ve come to believe to be the 4 primary stages of our spiritual journey. I’m not suggesting these are the only ways to slice it up. Indeed, I there are dozens of ways or unfolding the elements of our spiritual journey. Nonetheless, I believe the 4-stages I will define here provide significant clues to help you get breakthrough and advancement.

The 4 stages of our spiritual journey are as follows:

  1. Independence & Rebellion
  2. Religiosity & Legalism
  3. Freedom & Expansion
  4. Devotion & Selfless Surrender

Lets consider each of these four stages.
